Milestones

  • 1995-1996: Generation Europe Foundation first publishes the Europa Diary in two countries: Belgium and the United Kingdom.
  • 1999-2000:The Europa Diary first passes the 500,000 mark, printed in 14 editions in 13 countries.
    Generation Europe also expands beyond the European Union, publishing Czech, Polish and Hungarian “pre-accession” editions.
  • 2003-2004: First edition of the Europa Diary in Turkey.
  • 2004-2011: The Europa Diary is produced under contract for the European Commission. Distribution grows to over 4 million copies, in all EU Member States.
  • 2006-2007: A special “accession” edition of the Europa Diary was distributed in Romania. The total print run exceeds 1 million copies for the first time.
